The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the age of 57 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Joanne (Desloges) Poitras. Loving father of Robin (Kyle) Simpson, Megan (Kyle) Jorstad. Cherished pepère of Taylum, Harper, Kamdyn. Son of the late Wilfred and Simone Chiasson. Dear brother of Paul (Noëlla), Guy (Lyne), Fern (Monique), Ron (Mitch), Lise, Rhéal (Doris) and Colette (Jean-Marc). Survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, friends and his loyal fur friend Charly. As per Don’s request there will be no visitation. The family will be celebrating his life at St-Joseph’s Church, 3594 Errington Ave., Chelmsford on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Sudbury Infant Food Bank.

I send to all of you my deepest and sincere condolences on the loss Don, your husband, father, father in law, pepere and my dear friend. My thoughts are with you during this most difficult time and I am always here for you all. Don was a great friend, he and I had so many fun memories together, I will miss him terribly. Don may the angels guide you to your loved ones up in Heaven through the light and to God’s side. Rest In Peace my dear friend you most certainly deserve it.
