Portelance, Laurette (née Quesnel)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving mother on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the young age of 92. Daughter of the late Patrick (Ben) and the late Lorenza Quesnel (née Landry).

Wife of the late Germain Portelance. Mother of Rhéal (Porky-predeceased), Paul (Lise), Andrée-Anne Labelle (Joffre), Nick (Mary Lou), Jocelyne Poitras (Reg) and Wilfrid.  Memère to Marc, Scott, Angela, Stephen, Jason, Ashley, Patrique, Justin, Lyndsey.  Old memère to Wesley, Isabelle, Timothy, Kassidy, Trinity, Cloé, Bodhi, Brixtyn and Taylor. Sister of the late Paul Quesnel (Helen), late Germain Quesnel (Cecile), late Liliane Dalcourt (late Luc), Jacqueline Kingsley, Adrienne Paquette, Hector Quesnel (Monique).  Sister-in-law to the late Laurette Belisle (Edgar), Leo Portelance, late Alcide (Lorraine), late Conrad, late Hector, Ronald Portelance (Sheila), Georgette Labelle (late Leonard) and the late Marcel Portelance.

Mom enjoyed camping on Manitoulin Island as well as spending her winters in Florida.  She had a passion for bingo and above all she loved and adored her children.  Many thanks to the St- Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (Clarion site) staff.  A special thank you to her nurse Mona and PSW Julie (minou). A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10:00 am. At Ste-Marguerite D’Youville 4290 Old Hwy 69, Val Thérèse, ON.
