It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Jacques (Jack/Kermit) Rancourt at 72 years of age on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Beloved husband of Diane (née Labrosse) and devoted father of Kim (Lee) and Ken (Celena). He will be missed terribly by his grandsons Keenan, Meka and Benji.
Loving son of Anthime and Elizabeth Rancourt both predeceased. Beloved brother of Anne (Roland predeceased), Hervé (predeceased) (Colombe), Richard (Angèle), Denise, Diane (Réjean), Angela, Gilles, Denis (Monique) and Vincent (Margaret). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Noëlville, Jacques, aka Kermit, was a dedicated Firefighter for many years in Sudbury. He became a Captain, then a District Chief, and finished his career as a Platoon Chief for the Fire Department in Sudbury. He valued the friendships of the guys at the Fire Dept. and loved it when a joke/prank succeeded. He coached minor hockey in Noelville for many years and enjoyed teaching the kids. He loved spending time with family, loved the outdoors, woodworking, camping, etc.
Jacques was a wonderful man and will be tremendously missed by his family and friends. At Jacques’ request, there will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Malgré la distance et les années, nous gardons de bons souvenirs de Jacques. Nos sincères sympathies à la famille Rancourt. Nous vous souhaitons paix et courage durant ces jours difficiles.

My deepest condolences to all of Jacques family. He was really good guy and the kind of firefighter that I would go anywhere with. It was always a pleasure to be on shift with “Le petit Pariseau” a very fitting name with which Kevin Basto christened him. So many good memories of your husband and father.
Take care Kenny.
