Renaud, Monique Rita (nee Giroux)

In loving memory of Monique Rita Renaud (nee Giroux) who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, Thursday August 15^th, 2024, at the age of 64 years.

Loving mother to Alain (Cheryl), Guy (Marielle) and Julie. Cherished grandmother to Zachariah, Michael, Ashton, Thalia, Riley and Tayden. Beloved partner to Dave Parker. Loving daughter to Laurent Giroux (predeceased), Fernande Pelissier (predeceased) and Ernest Pelissier (predeceased). Remembered by her siblings Diane (Gaetan), Suzanne (Gilles), Pauline (Gaston), Joanne (Pete), Roch, Roger (Liane) and Carole (Paul) and her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Monique’s greatest joy and accomplishment in life were her three children. She loved them deeply, and always expressed how proud she was of them. Once she became a grandmother, Monique’s heart was filled with even more love, never missing a birthday or special occasion. Monique’s infectious laugh was like no other. Once she started, she couldn’t stop. When her mother and her teamed up, their laughter was unstoppable. Monique took pride in keeping her home spotless. She had superb organizational skills, like no other. She maintained this organization up until the last days of her life. She never wanted others to worry about taking care of her responsibilities. In Monique’s later years she became more adventurous. She reluctantly agreed to participate in activities encouraged by her children and grandchildren. Some of these activities included camping, driving a quad and water tubing. Monique will be sadly missed; however, her children and grandchildren are forever grateful to have taken part in this adventure with her.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, September 7^th at the Valley East Lions Club (4611 St Joseph St Hanmer) from 12pm to 2pm. Interment of ashes will follow at 2:30pm at the Valley East Cemetery (170 Gravel Drive Hanmer).
