It is with very heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Derek Robinson (51), my husband, my best friend, and the wonderful father to our son Deven (Mary), who left us on September 12, 2023, unexpectedly.
Son of Sandra and Steve (predeceased) Robinson. Cherished brother of Tim, Paul, Mark and Jason (predeceased). Beloved brother-in-law of Diane and Stanley, Cathy and Gary, Jo-Anne and Steve (predeceased), Wayne and Edward. Special mention to the Blouin Family (Pete, Melissa, Roger (predeceased), Carmelle, Norm and Chantal whom Derek loved and adored. Derek was a talented tradesman who took pride in his craft and was well known and respected in the industry. His knowledge went beyond his trade; he was a smart and worldly soul. His sense of humour was unique, and he loved to make people happy and laugh. His love language was to bake for anyone and everyone. He could whip up a mean chocolate chip cookie! He was an amazing man, our best friend whom we will all miss but will never forget. Rest well my love. There will be no visitation or service as per Derek's wishes. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Derek was a lifelong friend….and more than that he was more like family. I recollect so many memories growing up with him and cannot quite wrap my head around it at this time.
Rest in peace my friend, another gone far too soon.

You left us far too soon my friend. We weren’t ready for you to go just yet. I have so many things I still want to talk to you about. I suppose it’ll have to wait then. In the mean time, I will be sure to have one in your honour. Cheers my friend, you will be terribly missed.
