It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected yet peaceful passing of James Donald Rosene (88 Years of age) on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, with his family by his side.
James was predeceased by his parents, William and Maria Rosene (Morrell); his brothers, Ernest Rosene and William Thoraldson; and his sisters, Edna Pattinson (née Rosene), Mary Auger (née Rosene), Hilda Johnston (née Rosene), and Irene Nydahl (née Rosene).
James is survived by his devoted wife, Marie Rosene (née Byrnes); his loving sons, Theodore (Lorraine) Rosene, Martin (Cindy) Rosene, and TJ (Julie) Rosene. He held a special place in his heart for Laurel Andrews. He was a cherished grandfather to Matthew (Marvah) Rosene, Elissa (Jeremy) Kozakevich, Nathan Rosene, Joshua Rosene, Crystal Rosene, and Maximilien Louis, and a proud great-grandfather to Kurtis, Kingston, Carmen (Peach), Olivia, Amelia, Sam, and Ryder.
A loyal and dedicated member of both the Sturgeon Falls and Bethel Masonic Lodges, James exemplified the values of service and brotherhood. He was deeply loved by all who knew him, including many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his life. There will be no funeral or showing, and a celebration of life will be held on a later date.
Very sad to hear that Jim passed away. My thoughts go out to the entire Rosene family.
Being friends with Ted, I spent a lot of time around the family. Jim was a great, hardworking family man that will surely be missed but well remembered.

My deepest condolences to the Rosene family. I remember Jim and his family as next-door neighbours back on Brookside Road in Chelmsford.
