Soucy, Joseph Roger

Joseph Roger Soucy died from complications of cancer on August 14^th, 2024 at the age of 69. Born in Sudbury to the late Bertrand and the late Adelina Soucy (née Beaulieu). Husband of Kelly. Father of Priscilla (predeceased), Keith and Veronica. Dog dad of Gator. Brother of George, Réjeanne (Alan), Fern (Dianne), Eveline, Yolaine (Dan), Armand (Suzanne), Gilles (Judy), Claude (Tracy). Brother-in-law to Kirk (Susan). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Roger enjoyed working on fast cars throughout his life, with his first car being a 1976 El Camino that he modified often to be faster (and louder). He was a talented and experienced machinist, building racing engines professionally for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and just being outdoors. Roger had many stories from his youth about his family and friends that brought him joy and laughter and he loved to share them. 

We would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors at Health Sciences North and the North East Cancer Center for their incredible support and commitment to keeping him comfortable during his final days.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
