It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Perry John Telenko, at the age of 65. He left us peacefully early in the morning of Monday, December 19, 2022, in the comfortable care of Health Sciences North.
Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Thelma (née Connors); Loving brother of Rick (Sharon Raftis); Predeceased by his sister-in-law Paulette Telenko (née Charbonneau); Cherished uncle of Krysta (Dave Tremblay) and Casey (Michael Sauvé) Telenko; great-uncle to Norah Telenko-Tremblay and Sacha Telenko-Sauvé. Perry will be dearly missed by all his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Throughout his life, Perry touched many people’s hearts and loved many dearly. His family would like to express gratitude to his caretakers, especially Leo & Denise Morrow of Val Caron. Thank you also, to his many caregivers at Community Living Greater Sudbury, notably Marilyn Bishop. We are grateful to HSN Emergency and 8 North for their compassionate care; specifically Corrine, Natalie, Alex, Jessica, Lori and all of Perry’s many PSWs - your warmth and professionalism will never be forgotten.
Perry cherished his time working at Metro in Val Caron, and his joyous laugh was a fixture in the dairy department. He loved to see his friends at work and socialize with the people he met. He loved his bologna sandwiches, bowling, karaoke and rocking in his favorite rocking chair, surrounded by those he loved.
As per Perry’s wishes, rather than a funeral, there will be a Celebration of Life in June 2023, date to be announced.
Donations in Perry’s memory can be made to the Fragile X Foundation of Canada (www.fragilexcanada.ca) or the Sudbury Food Bank (www.sudburyfoodbank.ca).
We will miss you Perry, but we know your angel wings are carrying you into the arms of those who loved you the most. They have your rocking chair waiting, with chips and dip, and they are all ready to shower you with love, squeezes and angel-wing kisses.
We were so sorry to learn that our sweet and fun cousin was gone from us but our hearts are filled with joy that he’s in the arms of our loving Father and Uncle Harry and Aunty Thelma have their boy with them. We have hundreds of beautiful memories and fun family times in Hanmer and Huntsville and will carry you in our hearts always Perry.. xoxo from us all
