In loving memory of John Arthur Thompson, 73 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Maison Vale Hospice on Monday, November 23, 2015. Beloved husband of Deborah (Sawyer) Thompson. Loving father of Shawna Thompson Boni (husband Giandomenico) of Italy and Neil Thompson (wife Leanne) of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Giancarlo, Vittorio, Hailee and Alyssa. Born in Sudbury he was the son of the late Robert and Lucienne (Lavoie) Thompson. Dear brother of Terry Thompson (predeceased) (wife Linda), Daniel Thompson (wife Eleanor), Linda Thompson (predeceased) and Bonnie Strub (husband Keith) of Listowel, ON. He will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as his best friend Angelo. In his spare time, John enjoyed making wine with Angelo and spending time at Bigwood Camp. The family would like to thank Dr. Messenger and all of the staff at the Maison Vale Hospice for their compassion and support for John during his stay. In keeping with John’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
