It is with mixed emotions that we share the news of the passing of our dear father and grandfather Ellis Tiller, 70 years on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Elizabeth Centre. Dad is now reunited back with our mom Joan. He was our much loved father who will be missed by Sandra (Mike) and Jeff (Nat). Ellis was happiest being Grandpa to his 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Fred and Hazel. Born in Corner Brook, NL he was the son of the late Frederick and Matilda (nee Hunt) Tiller. Dear brother of Allister (Audrey), Stuart (Mildred), June Harding (Cecil), Blanche Rose (George), Raymond (predeceased) and Jane Vaters (predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Ellis retired from INCO in 2000 after 30 years of dedicated service. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services. Family and friends are welcome to drop by the family home on Jeanne D’Arc Street, Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. to share your stories as we say our final goodbyes to Dad. Donations in Ellis’ memory can be made directly to the Alzheimer Society (Day Program).

Such sad news. Ellis was my cousin in Corner Brook, and we had so many wonderful years in our early youth just hanging out and playing sports. I want to pass on my condolence’s to his family. May God be with you.

Sandy and Jeff, I am so sorry for your loss. I am finding it very difficult to absorb even though Ellis has been ill for quite some time. Losing dad this year is not making it any easier. Hold on to the memories and happy times you had together. Thinking of you both and your families at this time.

Sincere condolences Sandra & Jeff. It is comforting to know your mom and dad are together again…but sad. They were a couple who would have truly enjoyed their golden years if only they had been given the chance. I will remember your dad’s love of golf and your mom’s love of travel, but most of all I will remember how much they loved those grandkids!
