The family announces with sorrow the passing of Oscar Vachon on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Health Sciences North at the age of 63 years. Beloved son of Pierre and Rosanne Vachon (nee Daoust). He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Claudette (Marcel), Marcel, Denise (Gerry), Sylvio (Colette), Carole, Sue, Constance (Chris) and Claude (Theresa). He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Oscar never complained and accepted whatever came his way. He was as determined as he was stubborn. We will miss his quirky sense of humour. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be greatly appreciated.

I’m saddened at the loss of a friend I met a short time ago through His loved Sister Denise.
I’m sure he’ll been Missed by Many. It saddens me I didn’t get more time to spend with Oscar. There wasn’t a moment that I didn’t smile or found it hard to stop laughing. He always found a way in making people feel comfortable when he was by your side and I think that’s why he was loved, by many and will be so sadly missed.

To my dear brother which gave me the pleasure to know you as you truly were.
I will terribly miss hanging out and all the conversation we had in a life time.
You thought me lots and now i fully understand what you were trying to teach people. Death is definitely not a disease, it’s simply going back to the true love called home. Your a great teacher and a true beautiful soul. Hey don’t forget to visit and send me messages from time to time. Shall see you when my destiny on this earth is done. Please accept my deepest sympathy in the passing of Oscar. I called him “Sunshine” and he would stop and say “Is that you Raindance?” It was our way for him to know who was coming to talk to him. He always asked how Mom was doing. I will miss him at the Villa.
