June 5, 1943 to July 16, 2024
We are saddened to announce the passing of Michael John Walsh on July 16, 2024. He left this world peacefully after suffering from cancer at Health Sciences North Hospital in Sudbury, Ontario.
Michael was born on June 5, 1943 in London, Ontario. Being the second born of five children of the late Allen and Jean (Galbraith) Walsh.
Michael was known for his sharp wit and sense of humor. He proudly served in the Navy, then moved on to his main career of many years as a truck driver. He had a great passion of tinkering
around the garage while working on the little truck he made and many lawnmower tractors.
Michael is survived by his wife of 33 years Linda Louise McCarthy, and his two sons, Robert Walsh (Jen Prouty) and Micheal Walsh (Amy Springer). Michael will be missed by seven
grandchildren. Cody White (Kori Case), Robert Walsh, Jordan Walsh, Danielle Walsh, Riley Walsh (Shayla Brooks), Braeden Walsh, and Keegan Walsh. Also survived by his youngest
sister, Pamela Walsh and sister-in-law Betty (Brown) Walsh and several nieces and nephews.
Mike was predeceased by two sisters, Jacqueline (Scala) Walsh and Wendy Walsh, and by his brother John Walsh.
Mike Walsh was also a beloved member of Linda's family..... He will be sadly missed by Brenda (Gary) Trousil, Beverly (Ron) Mousseau, Kathy (Rand) Cashmore, Joanne McCarthy
(Steve Beschamp), Patsy McCarthy (Gates Durette), Tim (Louise) McCarthy, Carol McCarthy, Mark (Nadine) McCarthy, Sherry McCarthy (Sylvain Ouelette), Mike (Lauraine) McCarthy,
Lorne Marier, Gord Zimmermann (Diane Goldring) & also many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks goes out to the Doctors, Nurses and all other staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre and Health Sciences North Hospital in Sudbury. We would also like to thank his
good friends and neighbours Sheldon Leach, Steve Hurrell and Jim Schatalow for all their help and support. Thanks to the many friends who played a big role and were a big part of his life.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Corbeil Four Seasons Club, 1482 Corbeil Road, Corbeil, Ontario on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 from 11:00 am till 3:00 pm
